Our daily war for the oil…

I read couple of news in the past days, which makes me thinking, so let me share them with you… Do you know, that you spend 80% of your salary to energy cost (means oil)?.

We celebrated last year that the 7 billion people of the world used finally one billion cars. Based on the data of Wardsauto, the number of cars not increasing in every country; the mature countries recycle so many cars as the dealers sell year by year. The increase is coming from the developing countries. In the USA in average 1.3 persons own a car, this number is in India 56, and 17 in China. We should really need to look to China, as they increase their car-park by 30% every year!

So, why is it important for us? We knew already that the oil is important for all of us, but the increase of cars will lead to more importance of the oil too. But let me link this to an another news, which could be read in the book called “Solar Gas”. If we calculate the average life cost of the population of the world, 80% of those cost are payed for the energy cost. So it means, from every 100 EUR we earned, we pay 82 for the energy, or others: 33 hours from the weekly 40 we are working to cover the energy needs like personal and goods transportation, heating, cooking or lighting. So we are talking again about the oil…

And one more publication: from the daily 85 million barrels oil we produce 73% is landing in the transportation industry, which will grow by 40% in the next 20 years. This will not functioning, that is for sure. Not only because of the emission but we will not have enough oil for that… And we (the human being) should invest 400 billion USA dollar to transfer the transportation industry from oil to green systems…

So what do you think? Shall we not start today – on our personal level – to do something? 😉
